We are seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to lead the daily operations of I Love Gadgets in Invercargill. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, driving sales, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring an excellent customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, retail management experience, and an interest in mobile devices, repairs, and technology. Experience in mobile phone repair or accessories sales will be highly regarded.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage daily store operations and ensure smooth business activities
  • Lead, supervise, and support sales staff and mobile repair technicians
  • Prepare staff rosters and manage attendance, breaks, and daily responsibilities
  • Monitor sales performance and work with the team to achieve monthly targets
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of mobile accessories, devices, and spare parts
  • Monitor inventory, stock movement, and assist with stock ordering
  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and service related issues professionally
  • Promote repair services, products, accessories, and special offers
  • Ensure all repairs, sales, and customer transactions are processed accurately
  • Prepare and maintain basic daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
  • Ensure the store is clean, organised, and presented to a high professional standard
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and customer service standards are followed
  • Support staff training, onboarding, and ongoing performance development
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales, customer satisfaction, and store efficiency

Mobile Repair Technician

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Mobile Repair Technician to join our growing team in Queenstown. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing smartphones and tablets while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have hands on experience repairing mobile devices, strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy repair environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Diagnose and repair smartphones and tablets, including iPhone and Android devices
  • Perform screen, battery, charging port, speaker, microphone, camera, and other hardware repairs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software related issues
  • Carry out device diagnostics and accurately identify faults
  • Perform software troubleshooting, updates, resets, and operating system related repairs
  • Test devices thoroughly after every repair to ensure functionality and quality
  • Complete repairs efficiently while meeting required turnaround times
  • Follow proper repair procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements
  • Maintain repair tools, equipment, spare parts, and workstations in good condition
  • Keep the repair area clean, organised, and professional
  • Maintain accurate repair records and update job statuses
  • Clearly explain technical issues, repair options, and solutions to customers when required
  • Protect customer data and maintain strict confidentiality when handling devices
  • Escalate complex or board level issues when specialist assistance is required

Ideal Candidate


  • Minimum 1 year of mobile phone repair experience
  • Strong hands on knowledge of iPhone and Android devices
  • Good understanding of mobile hardware and software
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work efficiently under time pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with motherboard repair or microsoldering is an advantage
  • Relevant technical qualifications or training will be an advantage
